Political Signage

Today marks the day when I’ve had enough of political signage. As we
approach the election, the inundation of political signage is trashing up
our landscape. Due to past elections, I’m going to safely assume that these
signs will not be cleaned up and will “litter” our neighborhoods and
streets; left for the voters to clean up. The message is, “vote for me so
you can clean up my trash … ?” I believe it’s a waste of money, man
power, and non-biodegradable materials. Isn’t “Rethink, Recycle, Reuse, Re
… ” the direction we’re trying to take our environment?
To the politicians – get this garbage cleaned up and stop wasting campaign
money on stuff that is compromising our landscape! There are so many other
constructive and positive ways to get the voter’s attentions without trashing up
intersections, roadways, parks, neighborhoods. For example, go feed the
poor for the day and get the press to cover it or do a neighborhood cleanup
and get the media to cover it. Dump your current campaign managers, STOP
doing things the old way and “Rethink” your campaign strategies. If you
want my vote – figure this out!
